EDF Solar Solutions, a subsidiary of EDF specializing in residential photovoltaic solar panel installations, launched a 3-month test campaign on META to measure the impact of creative automation based on user geolocation. The goal: assess whether localized messaging drives higher engagement. The campaign targets homeowners, directing them to a dedicated landing page for solar panel installation.
To boost engagement, EDF Solar Solutions partnered with ADventori to develop a creative automation solution delivering geo-personalized banners for 12 French regions. Two creative concepts were produced, with the second version introducing major improvements in both design and messaging.
Key innovations included:
- AI-Generated Visuals: Tailored imagery reflecting each region’s unique architectural style (e.g., slate roofs in Brittany, terracotta tiles in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur) and subtle autumnal cues to emphasize year-round solar efficiency.
- Refreshed Messaging: A shift from general benefits to a more seasonal, action-oriented message highlighting tangible savings.
Initial post copy (translated):
“Why go solar in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur:
📉 Up to 60% savings on your bills
⚡️ Reduce energy dependence
🔋 Produce electricity to power part of your home’s needs”
New version:
“☀️ Harness the sun all year round in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur:
🍁 Even in autumn, install solar panels and save up to €1100 per year!”
This dynamic approach aims to maximize relevance, engagement, and conversion for each region.
